It is hard to believe that October is already over! Where did it go? As you can see from my empties I had a very clean October. There are a lot of products used to keep me clean and smelling fresh. I will discuss the products moving from the back row down to the front row and going from left to right.
Softsoap Juicy Pomegranate & Mango Infusions Moisturizing Body Wash with Moisture Beads – invigorate your body and mind with this moisture-bead formula enriched with natural extracts of pomegranate and mango. Its crisp, exotic scent will leave you energized and ready to take on the world. This stuff smells awesome! It is perfect for the shower in the morning. The scent helps me wake up and makes the bathroom smell so good. It is a thick formula that feels moisturizing as you use it. I would definitely buy it again for the scent alone.
L’Oreal Root Rescue 10 Minute Root Coloring Kit – rescue your roots in between colorings! Touch-up at the first sign of new roots or gray regrowth. Get seamless permanent color in just 10 minutes. I use color number 5 Medium Brown. I really like this product. I don’t have to do full color as often using this. I color my hair at home to save money and this makes it so easy. It is quick and easy and covers gray and roots very well. I buy this all the time so I will repurchase.
Dial Lavender & Twilight Antibacterial Hand Soap with Moisturizer – This is one of my absolute favorite scents in hand soap. It smells amazing! It lathers up nicely and leaves my hands soft and smelling so very good. I do wish that it wasn’t antibacterial because that is really unnecessary. I will still repurchase because I like the scent that much.
The Healing Garden Tangerine Therapy Rise & Shine Body Lotion – refresh your body with this energizing tangerine lotion. Its uplifting essence is blended with natural extracts of tea tree, ginseng, mandarin, and balm mint. Smooth on to awaken your skin with softness and sunshine. I had the shower gel in this scent too. I finished it up in September. This is another product with an incredible smell. I am partial to citrus scents because it helps me wake up in the morning. This lotion is moisturizing and is readily absorbed into the skin. I will likely buy the brand again but it may be a different scent. Even though I really like the smell I like to try new scents.
All Day Allergy Cetirizine HCL Tablets 10 mg – this is just the generic for Zyrtec. Although it is not a beauty product it helps me look and feel better. This was a very bad allergy season and this kept me functional. My eyes got so bad that I couldn’t wear my contacts for several days during ragweed season. This works better for me than the other allergy medications.
Clinique Turnaround Instant Facial Mask – all the radiance and smoothness of microdermabrasion with significantly less irritation and stress to skin. I use Clinique face care products and am satisfied with the line. I do think this is overrated and very pricey. This 2.5 ounce tube sells for $37.50. It has a fine scrub texture but you apply it as a mask. Once it dries you you add water and scrub with it for a minute or two. There are so many good masks out there for under $10 that I don’t think I will repurchase this. I have one more that I bought at the Cosmetic Company. I will use that one but it will be the last.
Skin So Soft Gelled Body Oil Original Scent – this is my favorite body lotion ever and I go through about a tube each month. Although it is an oil it is immediately absorbed into the skin. I use it every morning after my shower and my skin is so very soft. It keeps my feet soft and smooth too. This is a “holy grail” product for me and I will always have it on hand. For continued benefits-even after you take it off-partner with Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. This is a sample size in the color Cream Chamois that I got to try to find a color match. This foundation has medium to full coverage but this shade is way too dark for me. I have issues finding a shade in Clinique foundations that is light enough for me. My skin is too oily for this formula and it looks muddy on me by the end of the day. I won’t be buying this anytime soon because it doesn’t work for my combo-oily skin. I have friends who swear by it and it works well for them.
Degree Dry Protection Fresh Invisible Solid Anti-perspirant & Deodorant – this is my summer deodorant. Unfortunately, I perspire heavily and need something strong and effective in the summer. This works for me and keeps me dry and fresh smelling no matter how hot and humid. It goes on smooth and does not leave white steaks on my clothes. I will repurchase this again come next summer.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth Frizz Immunity Shampoo – works from the inside out, fights frizz at the source for ultra-smooth hair. This shampoo smells good and lathers well. I know that lathering well doesn’t mean anything but I want a head full of lather from my shampoo. I use this on days that I straighten my hair to help make it smooth. I got these samples in either a Target or Wal-Mart beauty box and got 2 uses out of the packets. I probably will not repurchase because there are other brands that work as well and cost less.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth Frizz Immunity Conditioner – prevents frizz from the inside out, leaves hair softer and more manageable. This is a thick conditioner that left my hair feeling soft and smooth.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Beyond Smooth Frizz Immunity Primer – works from the inside out, provides the perfect foundation for smooth, frizz-resistant styles. This works really well when I straighten my hair. It makes it smooth and easy to straighten. It helps it stay straight for 2 days. Again, I like it but Garnier Fructis makes a smoothing serum that works just as well and costs less.
Up & Up Cotton Rounds – made from 100% pure cotton. Cotton is soft and absorbent, catering to all your skin-care needs. I use this to remove my eye makeup and to clean my face with Micellar water. I will buy cotton rounds again because I use them daily. However, a package of 100 costs $2 at Target and I can get 80 for $1 at Dollar Tree.
Dove Advanced Care Beauty Finish 48 Hour Anti-perspirant deodorant – this is a sample size that I got in my fall Wal-mart beauty box. I like the scent and it goes on smooth. It doesn’t leave white streaks on my clothes. It works well but I didn’t get to try it in hot, humid weather. I do use Dove deodorant in the winter because my underarms get really dry. I don’t need advanced care and my Degree works well for the summer.
Air Optix Multifocal contacts – these contacts are great when you need bifocals or trifocals and have dry eyes. In the past I have had problems with other brands and dry eyes. My eyes get so dry that my vision is blurry and I cannot see. Unless my allergies are very bad these do not give me blurry vision. I will continue to repurchase these unless I find a better brand.
