T.J. Maxx Haul

Somehow I had never really looked through the beauty section at TJ. Maxx. They have so much good stuff at amazing prices. I had no idea what I had been missing.  These purchases were made over two different visits on two consecutive weekends. I keep trying to tell myself I don’t  need to  buy beauty stuff. Clearly, that is a losing battle for me. So, here are the pictures of what I bought. I have tried some of it and am waiting on some items.

I will talk about these items first. These are really nice palettes that were inexpensive. I have used both of these because I love trying new eyeshadows and new blushes.

The blush is part of a Contour and Blush Palette by Style Essentials. It has 2 highlighters, 2 contours, and 2 blushes. The darker contour does a nice job. It really makes my cheekbones pop and it blends well with the blush. I have not tried either blush yet. I did use the peachy colored highligher as a blush and I like it. I will try the other blushes at some point but I really like that highlight as a blush. I used the whiter highlighter and it is ok. It is nothing special but it works. I like my Wet n Wild so much that I am super critical of other highlighters. This cost $5.99 and it was well worth the price.

The big eyeshadow palette is the ELF palette with 100 shades. I am a fan of ELF and have another of the eyeshadow palettes as well as several single shadows. They blend well and last all day. There is minimal fallout when you apply them. The majority of the shadows are shimmery but there are some nice matte shades too.It is, for the most part, a neutral palette with some nice pops of color. You can create endless looks with this palette alone. This was an incredible bargain at $4.99. I will certainly get my money’s worth out of this.

I have just recently started using make up remover cloths so I am still trying to find the best ones. I bought the Dead Sea Elements make up remover towelettes. There are 60 in the package for $3.99 so the price is great. They are infused with dead sea salts and minerals and are not tested on animals. I just noticed that they are for normal to dry skin although my skin is combo to oily. I hope they work for me and don’t break me out. I haven’t tried them yet because I have an open package of another brand that I need to finish first.

The bottle in the middle is Advanced Clinicals Vitamin C Anti Aging Serum. This is a huge bottle with a stopper to dispense it. You use a few drops at a time so it will last forever. It was $4.99 for the bottle. It claims that it targets dark spots, uneven tone, and expression lines. I have all of those so I hope it works! On the company site it says Vitamin C Anti-Aging is a potent serum infused with antioxidants that defend against environmental pollutants. Antioxidants work synergistically for effective absorption into skin. Highly advanced Vitamin C facial serum will instantly feel hydrating and therapeutic on your skin. Intensely restorative, this facial serum promotes a firmer looking complexion. Ferulic Acid supports a luminous, youthful radiance and encapsulated peptides target imperfections for a more uniform looking skin tone. I use it twice a day right after my Clinique Clarifying Lotion. At night I apply another serum over it and then moisturizer. In the morning I apply my moisturizer after the serum. It has a citrus scent and feels kind of sticky when I first put it on. My skin feels really smooth after it absorbs. I have been using it for 2 weeks so it is too soon to say if it will help with skin tone and my dark spots.

Last, but not least, is the Deep Steep Peppermint Vanilla Argan Oil Body Wash and Body Lotion. These smell amazing! They smell like Christmas and I am saving them until after Thanksgiving. This is the type of scent that will help me feel awake on those cold winter mornings. The body wash is 17 oz and was $6.99. It offers a rich silky lather with gentle, effective cleansing. Leaves skin feeling fresh, healthy and clean. The body lotion was $4.99 and the tube is 8 oz. Give your body the ultimate moisturizing treatment with Deep Steep’s Argan Oil Body Lotion.Infused with hydrating Organic Argan Oil, this fast-absorbing lotion leaves your skin silky smooth and delicately scented. Don’t be surprised to see these show up in my December favorites!

I am thrilled with the bargains I found at T.J. Maxx! I will be checking out the beauty section there on a regular basis. Where is your favorite place for beauty bargains?
