It is so hard to believe that we are almost through the month of November! By this time next week Thanksgiving will be over and we will be in the madness of Christmas shopping season. We had a nice November here in southwest Virginia but the nights and mornings have been cold. My skin is starting to get a little dryer and I am changing some of the products I use. So, here are the products I was really loving in November.
I love to use scented body washes and lotions. I have a linen closet full that I am trying to use up. I pull out scents that fit the time of year. For October and November I have been using Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Shower Gel and Lotion. For reasons that I do not understand this scent has been discontinued. It smells sweet with a hint of spice. The shower gel lathers nicely and leaves the bathroom smelling great. The lotion does moisturize but I would never use it as my primary moisturizer. The scent lingers all day without being overpowering. It is the perfect scent for fall.
When I have the time I have been straightening my hair. The one product that I could not do without is Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti Freeze Serum. This product says it will lock out frizz for a full 3 days, even in 97% humidity. This serum smooths and adds shine to frizzy, dry, unmanageable hair. It acts deep within and on the surface of your hair to strengthen and smooth each strand. Get the most intense smoothing yet from Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum. It helps me straighten out my curly hair and keeps it smooth and straight. It does work for at least 2 days but it is heavy. If you use too much it makes your hair look greasy. I don’t think I could straighten my hair without it.
For most of my life I bought one blush and used it until it was gone. I wore the same color day in and day out. It didn’t really occur to me to have a variety of color choices. Until I discovered You Tube, that is! Now I want choices and this Sedona Lace 28 Blush Palette gives me those choices! The blushes have good pigmentation and blend well. There are colors to match any look I am doing. At only $16.95 this was a bargain and I use it almost every day.
Finally, I am really loving my Up & Up Complexion Brush! This is another item I learned about on You Tube. Until this summer I would never have even thought about applying my foundation with a brush. I had been using a sponge for years but the idea of using a brush just did not occur to me. Now I know what I was missing! This brush does such a wonderful job. My foundation looks flawless when I apply with this brush. The head is small and compact while being soft. It buffs the foundation in and makes it look so natural and professional. If you haven’t tried this brush you should. At $6.99 it is a huge bargain and great quality. Up & Up is the Target brand and is available in store and online. Try it and the technique of using a brush to apply foundation. I promise you will like the way it looks!
So, these are my favorites for the month of November. They are all great products and I recommend them all. It is too bad that the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin scent has been discontinued but Bath and Body Works has several cinnamon and pumpkin scents to choose from. What are you loving in November?
