When I started using Retin A in the mid-spring I realized that I would need to get serious about sun protection. If you want to know more about Retin A/Tretinoin see Tretinoin (Retin A) and Tretinoin / Retin-A Cheat Sheet. Thus began my search for the perfect sunscreen. See my reviews of other sunscreens I tried here, here, and here. It did not take long for my search to lead me to Asian sunscreens.
Not only do they provide superior protection from both UVA and UVB rays, but they are a gel-like consistency that is not heavy at all. This is a light lotion that does feel a bit like water. It goes on easily and absorbs fairly quickly. It dries to a satin finish and is not greasy looking at all. My makeup applies over it nicely.

I used this sunscreen for 3-4 weeks so I was able to form an opinion of it. In the picture above it is applied under the same makeup and powder I have used in all my sunscreen reviews so you can compare how each looks with makeup. I am using Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. You can learn more about why I love these products here.
This sunscreen comes from Japan and has to be ordered online. I got mine on Amazon for around $12. It came more quickly than I expected too. It does not leave a white cast on my face or leave it looking shiny or oily. It is an all around great sunscreen and is one of my favorites. I will probably like it even better come winter when my skin does not get oily. I recommend this one if you are in the market for a sunscreen with high levels of protection, has a consistency of a gel, and does not go on heavy or graesy.
