There are some interesting products in the bag this month and a couple that I am especially interested in trying. Beauty Beyond Borders is an Asian skincare subscription that ships monthly. It is $12 per month and contains 4-5 deluxe samples. Once in a while, like this month, you get a full-sized sample. This bag is a nice way to try Asian skincare to see if it works for your skin. See what I got in June and August in this bag. This month’s products are:
Etude House Honey Cera Eye Serum – This eye serum boasts an incredible list of our hero ingredients such as honey, ceramide, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. What do all those ingredients do? They will nourish, firm, hydrate, and brighten the eye area. What more could we ask for in an eye treatment? We also love that it’s extremely light so we can use it in the a.m. I am using an Asian eye serum in the morning that I need to finish before I try this one. I prefer a lighter eye product for the morning.
Etude House Honey Cera Cream – As we head into the cooler months, we need a no-fuss cream that’s hydrating but doesn’t feel heavy. This cream doesn’t sit on our skin or leave our face sticky. We especially recommend it for normal to dry skin types or individuals who need a little boost of moisture as the weather cools. This will be good to have on hand if my face gets dry this winter. I am still reluctant to use creams on my skin. I had oily skin my entire life until I had some dryness last winter. I am still learning what works for my new skin type.
Skin79 Super Plus Triple Function BB Cream – This is one of the hottest BB creams in Asia – not to mention one of our all-time favorites. It contains sebum controlling ingredients such as kava and purslane extract so it’s perfect for those with combination skin. This BB cream provides medium to full coverage with SPF 25 PA++ to provide a flawless canvas for the rest of your makeup. This would have been great to have in the summer. My skin still does get shiny in the summer and I would have liked to have had this to use then. I did try this and it has a good amount of coverage for a BB Cream. It doesn’t feel like it has moisturizer in it though.
Heimish All Clean Balm – This cleanser will go on your face in solid form and convert into oil upon massaging. The sherbert style cleansing balm dissolves your makeup while leaving your skin hydrated and moist. We love that it contains an impressive list of natural ingredients such as shea butter, botanical oils, and coconut extract. It’s free if parabens, artificial fragrances, and artificial coloring. I have heard really good things about this product. It gets great reviews and I am looking forward to trying it.
Welcos Kwailnara Aloe Vera Moisture Real Soothing Gel – For those days when your skin is just acting up and will not work with any products, we turn to this soothing gel as our moisturizer. Many k-beauty brands carry aloe soothing gels but we love this one because it is alcohol-free. It contains 98% organic aloe vera, cucumber extract, and vitamin E. Your sensitive irritated skin will thank you. I’m not really sure how to even use this. I don’t normally have sensitive or irritated skin. But if I do, I know to use this!
