Dewy Holiday Makeup Look

The holidays are all about the glow. There are bright and shiny things everywhere you look. I wanted my makeup to reflect the warmth and glow of the holiday season. I did this look with drugstore price products except for the bronzer.

I did not use a primer and applied Physician’s Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil BB Cream SPF 30 with my fingers.  Luxurious, high performance formula evens out skin tone, vanishing flaws and imperfections and smoothing skin texture without ever leaving a greasy feel or finish. SPF 30. Infused with 100% Pure Argan Oil, know as liquid gold for its rich conditioning benefits that can improve skin’s brightness, tone, texture, and elasticity. This is a mousse like texture that provides a close to medium coverage. It leaves a soft glow and feels soft on my face. I like this for fall and winter because it does leave a very nice dewy finish. I use my fingers to apply because it does have a very strong scent that lingers. I can smell it on my brush or sponge for days and days after application. It applies well with my fingers and looks very nice on the skin.

I concealed my under eyes with Maybelline  Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Concealer in Light.  It does as good a job as anything I have used and it lasts all day.It was one if my 5 Faves in August.  I have some areas of hyperpigmentation that I cover with Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Concealer + Corrector in Light.  I used my Holy Grail setting powder Coty Airspun Loose Powder in Naturally Neutral to set my foundation and concealer.  This works so well that I have never felt the need to buy a more expensive product. It is finely milled and sets my makeup wonderfully. It doesn’t cling to dry patches or settle in fine lines. It is an all around great product.

Since I was creating a dewy look I used liquid products. Powder products can look extra drying and flat during the fall and winter months. As a bronzer and for some contouring I used Temptu S/B Shimmer Bronzer.  S/B Bronze Shimmer bronzes and contours the complexion. This multi-use bronzer delivers a soft golden glow but can also be layered for a deep tan. I received this in the  October Boxycharm. It is the first liquid bronzer I have ever tried and I like it more than expected. You have to apply with a light hand. I put a small amount on the back of my hand and apply lightly with a stipple brush.

On my cheeks, I used Vegan Matte Cream Blushes for Lips and Cheeks by The All Natural Face in the shade Dusky Rose. I received this in some beauty subscription and I love it! It contains organic jojoba oil and organic argan oil. It is an absolutely beautiful color and blends like a dream leaving a natural glow on the cheeks. It is a neutral rose shade that can be worn year round but looks especially good for fall and winter. While you can’t purchase this in a drugstore it sells for $5.75 on the All Natural Face website so it is drugstore priced.

I highlighted my cheekbones with Glamazon Stick Highlight Crayon.  A long wearing creamy highlighting crayon that glides on like silk to highlight and accentuate your features, making you look effortlessly gorgeous like an amazonian stunner! Nourished with Vitamin E and antioxidants derived from Cocoa Butter and Jojoba Oil, the Glamazon Stick will provide deep hydration and smooth your skin, whilst adding glow in all the right places!  At $12 it is a bit more expensive than a lot of drugstore highlighters but I wanted to use a cream product to create my dewy glow.

Now on to my eyes and lips! I did my brows with the Wet n Wild Coloricon Brow Pencil in Brunettes Do it Better. I am a big fan of Wet n Wild and use many of their products regularly. They are good quality at an incredibly low price. I am pretty sure I paid $1.99 for this. I used Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Shadow and Liner for Green Eyes. These shadows are nicely pigmented and are shimmery without having excessive fallout. They worked perfectly for this look. I used elf Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Green on my lash line. I finished with Maybelline Supersizer Mascara in Black. This is an amazing mascara and works as good, or better, than expensive brands. It was one of my 5 Faves November 2016.

To finish the look I used elf Mad for Matte Lipcolor in Rich Red. This came as part of a set from elf that contained 4 lipcolors. I cannot say enough good things about this set. I plan on doing a review on it once I get through Blogmas and the holidays. It has just been too hectic!

I hope you enjoyed this look and seeing what products I used to create it. Have you tried any of these products? Do you like a dewy, glowing look for the holidays? What products do you like for a dewy look?
