February 2017 Empties

I already had a ton of empties in the first week of February. It slowed down after that and I ended up wth about the same amount of empties as I usually do. I did not get through as many of my bath and body products as I had hoped but I will have some next month.

Mary Kay terme d’ isola Moisturizing Body Wash – Moisturizing body wash, with the exclusive Mediterranean Complex, leaves your body awash with a moisturizing , silky afterfeel. Sweet almond, apricot kernel,  and olive oils moisturize and hydrate skin. Chamomile, fig, date and pomegranate extracts enrich and soothe skin. This is an old, discontinued line that is part of my linen closet full of bath and body products. I am thrilled to finish this, this month. It is a nice body wash and I did enjoy it.

Dove Invisible Solid Antiperspirant, Fresh – Including our ¼ moisturizers, Dove Invisible Solid Antiperspirant Fresh combines antiperspirant protection with outstanding underarm care. This is my winter deodorant. My underarms get really dry and this keeps them from getting irritated. It also keeps me dry all day long.

Marlowe. No. 022 Body Butter – An ultra-rich butter which provides long-lasting skin hydration. Made with our proprietary Marlowe. M Blend™, a unique formulation of revitalizing extracts designed to nourish, smooth, and revitalize skin. This came in a Target beauty box several months ago. I really liked it a lot. It is a very moisturizing butter that melts easily into the skin. I may purchase a full-size of this.

Avon Skin So Soft Gelled Body Oil – Pamper your skin with this intensely moisturizing gelled body oil. Formulated with precious argan oil, it locks in 24 hours of sensually soft moisturization, leaving skin silky smooth and luminous. Delicate floral fragrance. No greasy after feel.  If I could choose only 1 bath and body product this would be it.I cannot imagine living without it and if they ever stopped making it, I would be devastated. It makes my feet and yes, that includes my heels, look pedicure soft and smooth Every. Single. Day. Even in the winter, my skin feels like silk. No itching. No peeling. Just soft, smooth legs and feet. I love it so my much that a review of it was my first post.  It is one of my absolute must-have products and I will always repurchase it and use it daily. Love it!! It was obviously 1 of my 2016 Favorites.

Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Toothpaste – Introducing a fresh, new cleaning sensation! Powerful whitening cleansers give teeth an amazing deep clean plus an invigorating surge of spearmint for long-lasting freshness. Look and feel truly radiant today!  This toothpaste lives up to its name! It left my mouth feeling super fresh. This was a sample size that came in either  a Target ot Walmart beauty box. If I didn’t have such sensitive teeth I would definitley buy a full size.

Batiste Dry Shampoo – The essence of femininity, Blush is the floral, flirty way to turn heads. A few quick sprays instantly leaves hair feeling clean, fresh and full of body and texture. Blush is my favorite scent in Batiste dry shampoos. This is one of my favorite dry shampoos and the price is so right. I get it at T. J. Maxx for less than $5.

Clairol Hair Food Moisturizing Hair Mask – Hair Food Moisture is inspired by pampering and relaxing ingredients known to hydrate and condition the hair.  Uniquely infused with honey and apricot fragrance.  A luxurious treat for your hair. Moisture Hair Mask provides rich moisture protection for smooth, manageable hair. Paraben Free . Mineral Oil Free. This came in a Target Beauty Box a while back. I used this weekly to deep condition my hair and it did a good job. My only issue with it was that it kind of smelled like plant food to me.  (Not pictured)

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – Klorane’’s dry shampoo is such a star, we’re convinced it deserves its own spot on the Hollywood Beauty Walk of Fame. The longtime choice of celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Kruger, it’s been praised for its versatility as a grease buster, volumizer, and waterless cleanser (no wonder it snagged Allure’’s Best of Beauty Award). Made with softening oat milk extracts, plus corn and rice starches, this ultrafine powder spray leaves nary a trace of residue behind. It performs a heroic array of functions: It soaks up oil and sweat from your roots and helps revive second day hair, amps up volume and helps extend the life of blowouts, and can be used as a texturing aide when you’’re trying to perfect a tricky updo. This sample came in my Birchbox January 2017. I liked it fine but it sells for $10 a bottle. I love my Dove dry shampoo and Batiste too. I can get those for less than $5 a bottle so I wil be sticking with those 2.

EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 – Oil-free EltaMD UV Clear helps calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to breakouts, rosacea, and discoloration. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy-looking skin. Very lightweight and silky, it may be worn with makeup or alone. Choose from tinted and untinted formulas for use every day. This is the best sunscreen I have found. It looks so nice under makeup. You can read a full review here.

Malie Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask Coenzyme Q10 – A revitalizing & soothing essence facial mask. Contains Collagen Extract & Glycerin to intensely hydrate & soothe skin. Replenishes skin with nutrition & enhances its elasticity. Rich in active ingredients to form a protective coat on skin & prevent moisture loss. Leaves skin firm, soft, clean & healthy looking. These are sheet masks that have different ingredients. These are very nice masks. They are saturated with essence and fit well. The mask is a nice, thick, comfortable one. The scents are light and fresh and don’t linger. I use a mask 3 times a week and these get used regularly.

Etude House Honey Cera Cream – A nourishing and firming Cream that provides dry skin with abundant nutrition and radiance. This is one of the Products for a Month of Korean Skincare and I really liked it. You can see what I thought about my experiment with k-beauty in the post Month of Asian Skincare Review.

Global Beauty Care Spa Treatment Mask Rose –  This is a powerful facial treatment designed to improve the health and appearance of your skin. Rose oil is extracted from the petals of roses. The oil is an anti-inflammatory agent and tissue regenerator loaded with therapeutic benefits for the skin. I got a 5 pack of these masks from T.J. Maxx and after my first use, I thought it broke my face out but after using it a 2nd time I don’t know that it did. The mask itself was a bit thin but fit my face well. It had an adequate amount of serum but it didn’t really smell much like roses.

Manyo Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam – Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam cleanser contains a complex of organic extracts (corn, chamomile, green tea, beans, papaya, potato, red ginseng, etc.), natural soda and natural oils, bean, nut, grapeseed, olive, etc. Natural particles gently polish face skin and cleanse the pores. Natural herbal complex stimulates regenerative and metabolic processes, helps to eliminate inflammation, improves the complexion and boosts elasticity. Cleansing soda foam softens and soothes sensitive skin prone to irritation. I liked this cleanser a lot. It was also part of my Korean skincare routine. It had a nice citrus scent and lathered like crazy.

Etude House Honey Cera Toner – Highly nutritive multi-Toner that moistens rough and dry skin without any stickiness. This was also part of my k-beauty routine. I didn’t have any issues with it. I just am used to a more liquid toner.

Freeman Key Lime Face Scrub – Scrub away dull skin in a snap! Our skin-smoothing facial scrub contains exfoliating Pumice to gently buff away old skin to reveal newer, fresher smoother cells on the surface. Refreshing Key Lime helps tone and re-energize while stimulating the senses. Perfect for all skin types. I keep a scrub in my shower and use it 2-3 times per week. I liked this scrub. It is a very fine scrub and smells so fresh and citrusy.

Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Facial Cleansing Oil with Coconut & Argan Oils – Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Oil with Coconut & Argan Oils is formulated with a unique blend of natural moisturizers, including Coconut and Argan Oils. These natural oils combined help keep skin soft, clean, and beautifully nourished. Antioxidant rich ingredients, this facial cleanser gently removes dirt and make-up without leaving an oily residue. It is dermatologist-tested and clinically shown to cleanse and soften skin, naturally. It is 100% natural with no parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or SLS. I received this in my fall Walmart beauty box. You can see what else came in that box   Walmart Fall 2016 Beauty Box – Trendsetter v Classic. I like this oil. It is light and removes all traces of makeup. It rinses clean and does not leave my face oily at all.

Fresh Soy Facial Cleansing Milk – Soy Face Cleansing Milk is a gentle, conditioning cleanser for all skin types that is enriched with amino acid-rich soy proteins and white hibiscus flower extract. The super sensorial, milky formula removes impurities and dissolves facial makeup while it comforts and moisturizes the skin for a soft, supple, soothed complexion. I LOVE this cleanser! It is so gentle on the skin. I did a full review here.  I love it so much that it was one of my 5 Faves January 2017. The downside is that it is crazy expensive and you have to use a decent sized amount each time. I may ask for this as a gift but cannot see using it regularly due to the cost.

Benton Honest Cleansing Foam.  This facial cleanser begins as a rich cream, but transforms into a luxurious foam by lathering with water. It cuts through grime and pollution to leave skin soft and moisturized with conditioning botanical extracts.Best for normal to oily skin types. I liked this cleanser. It was another sample from Beauty Beyond Borders and I used it for my month of Asian skincare. It is a very light cleanser with a very nice citrus scent. It worked well on my face but it may have been too drying for my face and neck.

V 10 Plus Serum – I received several varieties of this serum in a Beauty Beyond Borders box.  This was Hyaluronic Acid serum. It seemed like an ok serum.

J. Cat Beauty Perfect Duo Brow Pencil in Dark Brown – will help create sexier, fuller and perfectly defined eyebrows. Create flawless arches with this retractable eyebrow pencil, a blend of vegetable, coconut and soy bean oil that guarantees a fluid application and sensational color. Use the built-in spoolie brush to blend colors and style your eyebrows for perfectly groomed and completely enhanced eyes. Available in natural-looking colors, each long-wearing formula stays put without smudging. This is a good eyeliner and I may repurchase. It is also only $3.99 at Ulta so it is very affordable.

The bulk of empties this month were the samples I used for my month of Asian skincare. If not for those, there would not have been as many as usual.I really hope to use up 2-4 bath and body products next month. This was a disappointing month for that.

What products did you finish up in February? Have you used any of the products that I emptied this month?
