Yes to Coconut Ulta Hydrating Melting Cleanser Review

I first heard of this product from Hot and Flashy on YouTube. She is a year older than I am and I totally trust her advice on skincare. She has taken the time to research which ingredients really work and developed her skincare routine around proven ingredients.  I have incorporated many of her tips in both my A.M. Skincare Routine and my P.M. Skincare Routine. I have been doing a Nighttime Double Cleanse for a long time now to ensure that I remove every trace of makeup from my face. The cleaner your face, the better your other products are able to penetrate the skin.

I use Yes to Coconuts Ultra Hydrating Melting Cleanser as the first step in that double cleanse routine. This dual-texture cleanser can be mixed with water for a creamy cleansing experience or slathered directly onto skin (sans water!) for a luxurious, balm-like feel. Either way, it’ll melt right in, dissolving dirt and makeup and hydrating with virgin coconut oil and moringa seed oil… then effortlessly rinse right off. Like buttah!

The ingredients are: Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Glycerin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sucrose Stearate, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Water (Aqua), Tocopheryl Acetate, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Orchis Mascula Flower Extract, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum). *Certified Organic Ingredient.

I apply it to my dry face and massage it on my face, neck, and chest. I massage it into my eyes  to remove my eye makeup. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. I then add water and work it in some more.  It removes all my makeup without having to scrub my face. It has a lotion-like consistency with a light coconut scent. It rinses off completely taking all my makeup with it. I don’t use waterproof mascara so I don’t know how it works for that. I will say that the longer I have used it, the less I like the scent.

I remove it with a damp Wonder Cloth that helps make sure all my makeup is removed. I was using microfiber cloths but I like this better. It rinses totally clean. Mascara stains microfiber cloths although they still work fine but rinse right out of the Wonder Cloth. Look for an upcoming review of the Wonder Cloth.

This cleanser makes a great first step in my nighttime cleansing routine. It is not drying nor does it leave my skin oily or slick feeling. It just feels clean and smooth. In the summer I may need something lighter but for colder, dryer weather this is working great for me.

Have you tried this? Do you like it? What do you use to remove your makeup?
