5 Faves March 2017

March in Virginia has been very cold and a reminder that spring doesn’t come until near the end of the month. I have wanted to pull out spring makeup shades and use lighter skincare products but it has been too cold for that so far. For March my favorites have been more basic products that work in both winter and spring.

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation – Dream Liquid® Mousse full coverage foundation delivers the look of completely poreless skin. Achieve the look of completely poreless skin with a smooth airbrushed finish. Lightweight and breathable, this up to 16-hour liquid foundation delivers cake-free, full coverage that moisturizes all day. This works so well on my combination skin. It does minimize my pores, provides great coverage, and lasts all day. This is one of my favorite drugstore foundations.

Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser – our award-winning cleanser is loved by all for its multitasking, 3-in-1 approach to cleansing. gently cleanses and melts away face and eye makeup in one simple step, while toning and lightly hydrating. skin is left feeling perfectly comfortable and balanced. I love this cleanser and it could easily be one of my 5 faves every month. I am including it this month because I just got back to using it regularly. I used Asian cleansers as part of Products for a Month of Korean Skincare. Then I finished up samples of Fresh Soy Face Cleansing Milk which I also really like. The Purity is my go-to cleanser and I will always come back to it. It works for all skin types and is just so gentle.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate-  Matte in Shade 104 – Be Iconic – Make the Ordinary Extraordinary Sumptuously Rich Matte Colour with a sublime comfort. Ruby Powder enriched formula. Intense velvet colour all day! I like Rimmel lipstick and you can see my thoughts on the line as a whole in Rimmel Lipstick Review. Shade 104 is a perfect pinky nude that works year round. It is more a satin matte than the matte you get from a liquid lipstick. It is creamy and comfortable. It is one of my very favorite lipsticks and shades.

Real Techniques Powder Brush – Our powder brush has a plush large head for sheer application and smooth, high definition results. Get the ideal dusting of makeup.Ideal for powder and mineral foundations. I love this powder brush! It has a big, fluffy head that is perfect for loose powder. I use this brush every morning. It is reasonably priced between $8 and $10 depending on where you buy it.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer – Go ahead, indulge yourself. You won’t add pounds when you dip into our antioxidant-rich, cocoa-licious, zero-calorie bronzer; just an irresistible, all-over deep tan. I use this to contour with and it works very well. It is matte and blends in easily allowing me to carve out cheekbones. This is another product I use every day.

This month was mostly about makeup. My skincare routine didn’t really have to be adjusted since the weather was still mostly cold. Next month will (hopefully) be spring themed.

Have you tried any of my favorites? Do you like them as much as I do? What were your favorites in March?
