I received a 0.5 oz sample of this moisturizer with an order from philosophy. I started using it as my winter daytime moisturizer. It was a large enough sample that I was able to really form an opinion of how it worked for me. You can purchase this sample size on the philosophy website for $14.

This was my morning moisturizer because I use
Tretinion which is the generic for Retin-A at night. This moisturizer contains AHA and can’t be used with tretinoin. This was a very light formula that was quickly absorbed into the skin. When I first started using it I noticed some stinging when I applied it. My skin is combo and not sensitive.
It also became clear that I could not use an AHA-containing product on my neck and chest in conjunction with the tretinoin. It made a red, scaly mess of my neck and chest. You could see the dry skin and the area was bright red and itchy. This happened after just a few days of use. It was so bad that I had to stop using the tretinoin for over a week on my neck and chest. I had to use a different moisturizer on my face and neck in the mornings.
The skin on my face handled it ever so much better. It provided enough hydration without leaving my face greasy or shiny. It worked well with both my sunscreen and makeup. I honestly cannot say that I saw any obvious improvement in my fine lines or my pores.
I liked this moisturizer and I may repurchase it at some point. In the summer I like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel as my skin is oilier in warm weather. Other than the fact that I could not use it on my neck and chest I have no major problems with this product.
Have you tried this moisturizer? Did you like it?

I am not your typical blogger. I am not young. I am over 50 years old. I am not beautiful. I do think I dress up nice, though. I do still love makeup and trying new things. I am learning to adapt my makeup to enhance and camouflage signs of aging. I love skincare and am searching for products that slow down the effects of time. When I find things that I like and that work, I want to share that information with other women like me. I hope the information I provide is helpful for you.
