Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Review

Soap & Glory is a brand that I learned about on YouTube but had nowhere local to check them out. The nearest Sephora or Ulta is about 45 minutes away so I don’t go in them often. Right after I heard about the brand Target started carrying it. My first product from them was a sample size face wash that I wrote about in Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity Review.

I like to use body butters because I feel like they provide so much more moisture for my body. When it was time to get a new one I decided to give The Righteous Butter a try. It sells for $15 at both Target and Ulta but Ulta has sales that you can buy 1 Soap & Glory product and get one for 50% off.

This is a very rich, thick body butter. It melts easily into the skin as you rub it on. It just sinks in and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. It keeps my body moisturized all day long. It is perfect for winter dry, rough, scaly skin. I apply in the mornings after my shower. It is also perfect for skin that will be bared in warm weather.

I had contemplated purchasing this before but I will have to say that I am not overly fond of the original pink scent. From the description of the scent, I would expect to love it. I just don’t smell all the floral scents. I can’t even describe what it smells like to me. I don’t hate it but I sure don’t love it. I know that it is just me because my son says he likes the scent.

Luckily they sell their body butter in other scents that sound amazing! There is Orangeasm body butter that is scented with fresh green mandarin, Sicilian lemon and sweet orange peel oils.  How yummy does that sound? I love a nice citrus scent.

Then there is the Smoothie Star Body Buttercream that is a super nourishing, pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla scented body buttercream. This sounds like it would smell like buttercream frosting! What a perfect winter scent.

Finally, there is Sugar Crush Body Buttercream. It has a sweet lime scent that I already know I like a lot. I purchased the Sugar Crush Scrub and the scent is wonderful. It smells like a margarita! Stay tuned for a review of that product.

The bottom line is that I love how this body butter makes my skin feel. It is so soft and smooth and touchable. That feeling lasts all day. It is not greasy or sticky at all. It melts right in and keeps my skin hydrated. I don’t like this scent but everyone else seems to. It does linger but it is soft and not at all overwhelming.

Have you tried this? Do you like it? Are you a fan of the original pink scent? Have you tried the other scents? Do you like them?
