5 Faves April 2017

As part of my Birthday Haul, I picked up my birthday gift from Sephora. I chose the Tarte Mini Set with a liquid lipstick and Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty. Infused with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun, this nutrient-rich blush benefits all skin types for a fade-free flawless finish that lasts an amazing 12 hours. Inspired by tarte’s bestselling shades of cheek stains and lip tints, the colors range from soft to vivid to suit a wide variety of skin tones. For oily skin types, Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. Those with dry skin will benefit from the clay’s nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin’s moisture. Combination skin types can rely on its ability to zero in on skin concerns and deliver benefits to restore complexion harmony. The result: Blush that wears better, longer, and truer. OMG, I love this blush and I love this shade. It is quite possibly my favorite blush ever and I have been using it at least once a week since I got it. It is a limited edition color and that makes me sad.

Another item from that haul that I am loving so much is Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in the shade Sandy. The bestselling sheer, shimmering Full-On Lip Polish gives lips a plumped appearance and delivers a refreshing tingling sensation. I almost never wear lip gloss. I prefer lipsticks or liquid lipstick. I have been loving this, though, as a topper over lipsticks. I am especially loving it paired with e.l.f. matte lip crayons. It makes them look amazing. It does leave a cooling sensation on my lips hours after application. It doesn’t burn at all. It just feels cooling.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub – fuses freshly-squeezed sweet lime, sparkling lemons, sweet vanilla musk and almond oil, with sea salt, smashed brown sugar, glycerin and macadamia oils to leave your skin feeling smooth, supple, and sexy. Miraculous on dry legs, elbows (really – all over), it’s energizing, exhilarating, amazing! This smells so, so good! It has a very lime-like scent that has a sweetness to it. It smells kind of like a margarita. It leaves my skin silky smooth after I use it. My only small issue is that I wish it was coarser. I prefer a coarse, gritty scrub and this is a fine grain scrub. It still works and I love it, though.

Coty Airspun Loose Powder in Neutral – This ultra smooth powder hides tiny lines, wrinkles and blemishes and gives a new softness to your skin. I use this every morning to set my makeup. It actually does minimize my pores and makes my makeup look smoother. It is cheap, you can buy it at the drugstore, and it works. What more can you ask?

Konjac Sponge – 100% natural, made from vegetable fiber, clean while massaging. Key features of Konjac sponge: gently exfoliates to bring back the natural glow of the skin, kills acne-causing bacteria, effectively balances the pH of the skin, extra soft features are ideal for delicate and sensitive skin, naturally moisturizes the skin, ideal for people with Atopic skin disorders (hypersensitive skin). I use this every morning to wash my face. I squirt my cleanser on it and massage away any flakes or dead skin. It is so gentle and cleans so well. This is a Holy Grail product for me and could easily be one of my 5 faves every month.

Have you tried any of my favorites? Do you love them as much as I do? What were your favorites this month?

  1. I have that Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub unopened in my stash which I received as a gift – can’t wait to crack it open, sounds great!
I use a konjac sponge every morning too – my favourite one is from The Face Shop – it’s so soft and squishy. 🙂
