Makeup and Skin Care for Mature Skin

Target had 2 Beauty Boxes available this month at $7 each. They have started putting out at least 1 beauty box monthly that sells for either $7 or $10 with shipping included. They will have a men’s box on occasion. They also include a coupon for $3 off a $15 dollar purchase of beauty products.

I hesitated to order them this month because each box had a couple of items I really wanted and then several items that I wasn’t all that interested in. But I am weak so I ordered both. Read on to see what is in this box and which items I really wanted to try.

Dr. Teal’s Soothe & Sleep Lavender Foaming Bath – Lavender essence has soothing properties that are known to encourage a better night’s sleep. Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath transforms an ordinary bath into a relaxing spa with luxurious essential oils to soothe the senses, relax tense muscles and provide relief from stress. This sounds like a great product. The only issue is that I’m a shower person. I cannot tell you the last time I took a bath. This will be passed on. Watch for it in a future It’s Not You, It’s Me  post.

Banana Boat Dry Balance Lotion SPF 30 – There’s nothing better than a warm and sunny day spent outside with family and friends – but proper sunscreen application is essential to the equation! La Roche Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser – Gentle purifying foam cleansing formula. Includes ceramide-3 and niacinamide. Made with La Roche-Posay prebiotic thermal water.  Recommended for normal to oily skin. This is one of the samples that I really want to try. My skin gets shiny in the summer and this may be good to help with that.

Rimmel Colour Precise Eyeliner White – Rimmel’s first coloured liquid eyeliner. Our first soft tapered felt tip liquid liner delivering a high dose of colour with excellent precision/absolute accuracy to achieve thin, fine lines or bold flicks with exceptional staying power. The ultimate tool for defining eyes. I don’t see using this at all. I’m not even sure how to use a white liquid eyeliner!

Sally Hansen Nail Treatment Double Duty Base & Top Coat – I don’t do manicures but I do pedicures in the summer. This will get limited use.

HASK Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner – This deep conditioner is a super strengthening, hydrating treatment that will restore and smooth dry, damaged, chemically treated or over processed hair. Argan Oil, unique to Morocco, is known for its high absorbing, penetrating and split end repairing qualities while leaving even the most damaged hair soft and nourished with added moisture. Free of: sulfates, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors. Directions: Apply a generous amount of deep conditioner to clean, wet hair. Massage into hair focusing on damaged areas. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse well. Style as usual. Ideal for use 1-2 times per week, or as needed. I color my hair so I like to use a deep conditioner once a week. I will definitely use this.

eb5 Facial Cleanser – Cleanse and exfoliate daily with our gentle AHA Cleansing Lotion. I love trying new skincare items.

As I write this post I realize that my initial impulse to pass on this box was probably the correct one. I will use and/or try all of these products except the bath oil and white eyeliner but am only excited about the 2 cleansers.
