Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that is $10 per month. It contains 5 sample, deluxe sample, or a rare full sized product in each bag. It tends to contain more makeup products and tools. You can see what I have received in past bags here, here, here and here and here.
The theme this month is Summer Friday. The bag is water resistant and has ice cream treats on it. So, let us see what is in my bag this month. I don’t actually have my bag yet although it is already the 10th of the month. I know what I’m getting I just don;t have it yet.
Mellow Cosmetics Creamy Matte Lipstick in Nude – Hot tip: Not all mattes are created equal. That’s why we’re flipping for this one! It’s SO creamy and moisturizing, you won’t believe it’s matte. Dry lips? As if. Thanks to a healthy infusion of Vitamin E, this stuff makes our pouts insanely silky, satiny, and smooth. Understated is the new bold. These gorg nude shades are perf for owning a “no makeup makeup” moment (if you’re into that sorta thing). I am always happy to try a new lipstick. Hopefully, this will be a good formula and a good shade.
Urban Decay Afterglow in Sin – You dew you! If you’re looking for an IRL version of that amazing Snapchat filter glow, this champagne-hued highlighter is IT. Inside sources tell us the powder formula is super duper finely milled, which means it’s creamy AF, but still majorly lightweight. We see you shining on (and on). This long-wearing luminizer kept our glow-game strong from morning rush hour to 6PM happy hour (and beyond). We’re obsessed with all of Urban Decay’s shade names, but TBH the only sin you’ll be committing with this baby is being TOO lit. I know this is going to be great but it will also be in such a tiny package that it will be almost impossible to get a brush in it.
pur~lisse BB Tinted Moist Cream SPF 30 – Primer. Tinted moisturizer. Foundation. Sunscreen. How’s that for the resume of ONE product? Seriously tho, this one-and-done quickie cream was MADE for those days when you just wanna sleep in. This crazy creamy, mineral-based BB is sprinkled with Asian Herb extracts complex (AKA unicorn dust) that soothes your skin and creates a gorg, supernatural glow. As if that’s not enough, this overachieving moisturizing formula is fab for ALL skin types. Yes, even dry, sensitive, and acne-prone. I like to take a good BB or CC cream on vacation with me. I usually go to South Carolina in July so a full coverage foundation just won’t work. I hope this is a good one.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in Black – We’ve tried like, a gajillion mascaras (estimated number) and only a select few have earned Superhero status in our hearts. So we’re happy to report that this volumizing wonder lives up to its name and TOTALLY saves the day when it comes to our puny lashes. The long, molded brush defines and separates evvvvvery little lash for a falsie effect, giving an entirely new meaning to the phrase “fanning out.” The lengthening formula stretches out lashes so they look super duper long. (If only we could use it on our legs, lol!) Helps keep your lashes healthy and strong! Think of it as a protective cape that coats your lashes in conditioning, strengthening. I tried an IT Cosmetics mascara that was amazing so I have high hopes for this one. I will have to wait to try it because I don’t like to have more than 2 opened mascaras at one time. They dry out before you can use them.
Briogeo Rosarco Milk™ Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray – Hair milk? Sounds weird, but it’s actually amazing! This one has all the benefits of a hair cream, but in an ultra lightweight mist that hydrates and tames frizz on ALL hair types! Feeling knotty? Spritz on damp hair and comb through for some major detangling action. It’s subtly tropical scented, and TBH we’re suckers for anything that smells like a cocktail. I have gotten into hair care products lately and this looks like it might be good. I need some help with frizz since the hot, humid weather is coming.
I am satisfied with my bag this month and give it a 4/5. I love trying new lipsticks and the BB Cream might be perfect for vacation. I have used some Briogeo products and IT products that I really liked so am looking forward to trying new products from both brands.

I never like everything. But I like enough that I have kept Ipsy for 2 years.
