I try a lot of products regularly. I get many of them from the various beauty boxes and bags I subscribe to. Most of these products are perfectly fine. They just did not work for me. They may be the wrong shade, wrong for my skin type, or I simply didn’t like them. Read on to see which recent products just were not right for me and will be passed on or trashed.
Live Green Natural Blueberry Mask Sheet Energizing Facial Mask – Our facial masks are formulated for at-home spa results. This was the worst sheet mask I have ever used. It smelled awful right out of the pack. It had a thin, watery essence that did nothing for my skin. I had 4 but I won’t use this again. I am not even passing these on. They are going in the trash.
Tree Hut Fig & Olive Mediterranean Salt Scrub – Detox your skin with Fig & Olive Tree Hut Mediterranean Salt Body Scrub. This purifying scrub combines Activated Charcoal to draw out toxins and impurities, while the sea salts help treat skin conditions, leaving you with a beautiful complexion. Tree Hut’s sweet, lush scent also has the nourishing benefits of Fig and Olive to revive your mind, body and soul. I use a body scrub weekly to keep my skin exfoliated. This is just too fine for me. I prefer a coarser scrub. This almost feels slimy. I liked the scent when I bought it but liked it less and less as I smelled it.
Global Beauty Care Spa Treatment Mask Rose. This is a powerful facial treatment designed to improve the health and appearance of your skin. Rose oil is extracted from the petals of roses. The oil is an anti-inflammatory agent and tissue regenerator loaded with therapeutic benefits for the skin. I am currently obsessed with anything rose for skin care. So, when I saw a 5 pack of these sheets masks at TJ Maxx I had to have them. The fact that they were only $1.99 was an added bonus. The mask itself was a bit thin but fit my face well. It had an adequate amount of serum but it didn’t really smell much like roses. I think this may have caused my face to break out so I won’t be using this one again. Hopefully, my mom will have better luck with it.
Project Beauty Hairgurt Strawberry Smoothing Yogurt Hair Masque – Wondering when your hair got a mind of its own? Try this creamy, rich treatment with Yogurt Protein, Prebiotics, Quinoa, Our Botanical Oil Blend and Bio-Keratin specifically formulated to help tame unruly, frizzy dry hair. And make friends with your hair again. This came in some subscription box a while back. I deep condition my hair weekly so I was happy to get this. It smells amazing but it doesn’t really do much for my hair. It does not leave it detangled and I had to work to comb my hair after using this. I expect a hair mask to leave my hair easy to comb.
Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials Antiperspirant – There’s nothing quite like that just-showered feeling. That fresh, clean sensation is the absolute best way to start the day, so wouldn’t it be great if you could get it in a handy antiperspirant deodorant? Well, luckily for you, that’s exactly what we’ve done with Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials Antiperspirant . Its invigorating scent of cucumber and green tea will put an extra spring in your step, and with 48 hours of antiperspirant protection, you can keep that cool, fresh feeling with you all day thanks to one of our most effective antiperspirant deodorant products. I love Dove deodorant in the winter when my underarms get really dry. It has never been strong enough for summer use but this might work for me. Unfortunately, I don’t like these small samples of solid deodorant. I find them awkward to use. I get these in Walmart beauty boxes – Walmart Spring 2017 Beauty Box Trendsetter and Walmart Fall 2016 Beauty Box – Trendsetter v Classic. I’m sure my mom can use them.
Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick – velvety soft formula moisturizes with shea butter and aloe for color that lasts, available in 20 shades. This is a lovely shade and it looks so good when first applied. It wears away really badly. It gets patchy and looks terrible after a very short time. One of this in a different shade was in It’s Not You, It’s Me – Products Fails Fall 2016. In this case, it is you, not me!
What do you do with products that don’t work for you? Do you pass them on or trash them? Have you tried any of the items that didn’t work for me? Did they work for you?

Love hearing what products didn’t work for people! It’s just as helpful as hearing what did work!
