Que Bella Beauty Skin Brightening Papaya Peel Off Mask

I bought the Skin Brightening Papaya Peel Off Mask at Target for $1.99. I was using the $3 off $15 coupon that came in the Target Beauty Box April 2017. I love masks and I don’t have many peel off masks. I like to try a big variety of masks and this was part of #MaskaDayinMay.

for a bright and brilliant complexion…Refresh and revitalize your skin with the Que Bella Skin Brightening Papaya Peel-off Mask. Enriched with natural Papaya Extract the mask helps exfoliate whilst the Hops actives help even out skin tone, revealing smoother, more luminous skin and a glowing complexion.

The Papaya extract used in this mask is rich in Papain, a powerful digestive enzyme that can help to gently exfoliate the skin. ‘Wonderlight’ is the natural skin radiance active derived from hops that help decrease hyperpigmentation accentuated by age and stress, to equalise skin pigmentation and present a radiant complexion.

When I opened the packet I was surprised (and not in a good way) to see how little product is actually in there. Since it is a peel off mask it was a gel texture. It had a strong, almost pungent, citrus scent. It didn’t smell bad, just stronger than expected. It did not seem to linger long after application.

The left is after applying and the left is right before I peeled it off.

I cleansed my face before applying the mask. It was hard to work with and did not spread evenly on my face. It was difficult to get a thin, even layer on my face. There was some mild stinging when I first put it on but it didn’t last.

It peeled off easily and came off in one big piece. It did not pull on my skin when it peeled off. I have had peel off masks that almost hurt to peel off but not this one. It felt kind of flimsy, to be honest.

I did not see any significant benefits from the mask. Of course, brightening is a vague kind of promise. The next morning though, my skin felt super smooth. I still can’t swear to any brightening but there was definite smoothness.

This was an ok mask. I was disappointed that I only got 1 use out of the packet. Usually, I get 2 out of these packets. There was some left but not enough for another use. I doubt I will buy this again. There are other peel off masks out there that are better in the same price range.

Have you tried this mask? Did you like it? Have you tried other Que Bella masks? Do you have any peel off mask recommendations for me?
