Wow, June sure came and went super fast! It is interesting for me to see how my empties change with the seasons. The products are a bit different and reflect what my face, hair, and body need for the various seasons. This may be the smallest Empties I have had since I started this series of posts.
SKIN CARE
Malie Pearl Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask. This mask was in the pack I ordered from Amazon that included the Malie Snake Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask. These are sheet masks and I like them a lot. The Pearl formula was really good and left my face looking brighter and plumper. These are great masks for the cost. I will repurchase when I finally use all the many sheet masks I have on hand.
SkinRx Lab MadeCera Express Mask – I loved this mask! Read my full review here.
Coppertone Oil Free Faces SPF 50+ – Clinically tested on acne-prone skin. Coppertone Oil-Free Faces sunscreen lotion provides sun protection that won’t cause breakouts on acne prone skin. The product feels lightweight and absorbs in seconds. It claims it is non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, PABA free, gentle on skin, non-irritating, and water resistant (80 minutes). You can see my review on this sunscreen here. I hated this sunscreen and used it on my neck and chest to finish the tube.
Konjac Sponges – Perfect for pampering all skin types, this natural cleansing sponge is made from 100% Konjac Root fibers. Asian Konjac Root has been used for centuries to gently exfoliate and detoxify skin while naturally balancing skin’s PH levels. When wet the sponges soften for gentle cleansing to deliver smooth, soft, brighter looking skin. I discovered Konjac sponges when I started using tretinoin (Retin A). They help to get the dead skin off. Learn more about tretinoin here, here, here and here.
L’Oreal Paris Clay Masks – there are foil packets containing samples of the 3 different clay masks. There is the Purify & Mattify that is more for oilier skin. To improve skin tone and detoxify there is the Detox & Brighten. Finally to exfoliate and regenerate there is Exfoliate & Refine Pores. I received these samples in the Target Beauty Box February 2017 and they all worked well. I have enough clay masks right now but I would buy these when I need a good clay mask.
purlisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum – Blue Lotus eye serum enhanced with active ingredients like French marine plants, Matrixyl 3000 and Haloxyl bring 4x the power against aging in this intensive eye serum. This proven complex work together against wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness, while hydrating and lifting the delicate eye area. This sample came in some beauty box subscription. It was enough to last a month or so and it is a decent eye cream. I use eye creams day and night but I never really see any huge difference. A 15 ml sized bottle of this sells for $65 so I do not forsee purchasing it.
Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment – Our most Scientifically Advanced Clearing Treatment to help fight common skin concerns. Designed For Men & Women. I am pretty sure that I used Ipsy points to get this sample. It is a good mask but I wouldn’t pay $70 for a full size. A full review is coming at some point.
Leaders 7 Wonders Tundra Cranberry Anti-Aging Mask – Cranberry, found in the arctic tundra, is a highly resilient superfood containing the highest content of unsaturated oil. Its anti-aging properties help eliminate free radicals caused by oxidative stress to prevent premature aging. This line of masks is probably my very favorite sheet masks. I will be posting a full review soon. You can also see Leaders 7 Wonders Kalahari Melon Moisturizing Mask Review and Leaders 7 Wonders Mediterranean Olive Brightening Mask Review.
Biobelle #BeautySecret Sheet Mask – It tightens, brightens, and deeply hydrates the skin. The ellagic acid contained in the pomegranate peel helps the skin appear smooth and firm. Hyaluronic acid plays an important role in diminishing fine lines, and makes it more resilient every day. This is a nice mask. Stay tuned for a full review. I received 3 of these sheet masks in my Boxycharm this month and am looking forward to trying the other 2.
HAIR CARE
Clairol Hair Food Apricot Shampoo and Conditioner – Hair Food Moisture is inspired by pampering and relaxing ingredients to hydrate and condition the hair. I got these samples in a Target Beauty Box. I was able to get 2 uses out of each. They are nice but the scent reminds me of plant food. For that reason, I would not buy full sized bottles.
L’Oreal Age Perfect Hair Color 5N Medium Brown – formulated specifically to color gray hair harmoniously for a new type of coverage. It adapts to very gray hair differently than pigmented hair, creating natural highs and lows for a layered, tonal effect, as if it was subtly highlighted. This is my first time trying this so I don’t know if I like ir or not.I always like L’Oreal hair colors so I expect to like it.
Bumble and bumble. Don’t Blow It – Fine – Let’s face it: Air-drying your hair is easy, but the results aren’t always pretty. This crème is changing the game with plant-based conditioners enhance volume and texture without any time under the blow dryer. Plus, UVA and UVB filters protect against harmful rays, so your hair stays soft and hydrated. Just smooth on post-shower for a lightweight finish—little to no effort required. This is wonderful. I have curl in my hair and this leaves my curls so soft. My hair looks good when I use this. I received this in Birchbox April 2017 and liked it so much that I included it in Best of the Boxes April 2017.
BATH AND BODY
Avon Skin So Soft Gelled Body Oil – Pamper your skin with this intensely moisturizing gelled body oil. Formulated with precious argan oil, it locks in 24 hours of sensually soft moisturization, leaving skin silky smooth and luminous. Delicate floral fragrance. No greasy after feel. If I could choose only 1 bath and body product this would be it. I cannot imagine living without it and if they ever stopped making it, I would be devastated. It makes my feet and yes, that includes my heels, look pedicure soft and smooth Every. Single. Day. Even in the winter, my skin feels like silk. No itching. No peeling. No crusting. Just soft, smooth legs and feet. I love it so my much that a review of it was my first post. It is one of my absolute must-have products and I will always repurchase it and use it daily. Love it!! It was obviously 1 of my 2016 Favorites.
Ban Powder Fresh Roll-On Deodorant – America’s #1 roll-on deodorant never goes out of style. Provides 24-hour protection from odor and wetness. Glides on clear and easy with fewer residue-causing ingredients for invisible protection. This came in either a Walmart or Target Beauty Box. I used it because I had it. I am not a fan of roll-ons so I wouldn’t buy this. I like solids.
Body Luxuries Milk Body Lotion Kiwi – This was part of a set of different scented lotions I picked up at Rugged Warehouse. It is a good lotion and the scent was fabulous. It smelled like fresh, juicy kiwi. The scent lingered and it left my skin soft.
Avon Skin So Soft Aroma + Therapy Energizing Body Wash – Energize your senses with this invigorating body wash, aroma blend of orange and peach blossom fragrance, cleanses while providing a luxurious hydration. The rich, creamy lather leaves skin feeling silky soft and revitalized. This smells so good. Just like ripe, juicy, fresh peaches. I liked this a lot and would repurchase if it hadn’t been discontinued by Avon.
Vita Liberata Fabulous Self-Tanning Gradual Lotion – The problem: achieving a beachy bronze look without scorching our sensitive skin. The solution: this gradual self-tanning lotion, which develops a lasting sun-kissed look in mere hours. The unique formula is tint-free and scent-free thanks to Odour Remove™ technology, making it suitable for skin that’s irritated easily by fragrance. In addition to creating a gorgeous natural glow, it hydrates, nourishes, and conditions your skin with certified organic ingredients, including shea butter and extracts from melon, ginkgo biloba leaf, and lychee. Believe it or not, this miracle worker is also free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. This was an ok self-tanner. I have come to the conclusion that I just cannot apply self-tanners with any degree of success.
MAKEUP
Blend Squad: Contour Blending Sponges – Set of 3 latex-free and non-allergenic blending sponges. Can be used damp or dry. It’s washable, reusable, and odor-free. The retail price for these is $36. This came inBoxycharm April 2017 and I started using this as soon as I got it. It is less spongy than the Beauty Blender but it still works well.
I did – barely – meet my goal of finishing at least 2 products from my hoard of bath and body products. I finished the shower gel just in time to include it in this month’s empties. I have just about finished the products that were already used. Some of them were 1/2 empty already. Now I am looking at a bunch of unused products that will take more than a month to finish. I will be lucky to have many months that I finish 2 bath and body products.
As usual, there were a lot of skincare empties. Part of the reason for that is that I get so many skincare samples in all my subscription boxes. I mask 3 times per week which is another way that I have so many skincare empties. Finally, there are multiple steps in my skincare routine and I love trying new things.
What did you empty in June? Have you tried any of the products in my empties? Do you hoard any beauty products?

Good job on meeting your goal of 2 empties from bath / body products!

Thanks not only for reading but for taking the time to respond. If you have normal or oily skin I think you’ll really like the L’Oreal masks.

You’ve managed to get through so much this month. I’m desperately trying to use my samples and it’s failing miserably. Great post 🙌

That Avon shower gel sounds perfect! Too bad it’s been discontinued. 😦
I’m interested in those L’Oreal masks too. Over here they’e only available in tubs – and I can’t really commit to buying 3 full size mask tubs at the moment. I wish they had samples over here! Need to get in touch with L’Oreal UK…

The shower gel smelled amazing. Just like fresh juicy peaches. The L’Oreal masks are ok but there are others just as good
