This is my first Allure box. I had been looking for a new subscription after Beauty Beyond Borders stopped their service. Allure is $15 per month. I paid for an entire year at $150. The theme for June’s box is Glow Getters. I received a free gift for subscribing. I will start with my free gift and then go on to the samples for the month.
Doucce Freematic Eye Shadow Allure Special Edition – A versatile 4-color palette eye shadow with silky and smooth powders which generate a pure look that won’t fade. Each of the highly pigmented 15 ready-to-wear colour palettes are specially curated with both matte and shimmer shadows to allow for effortless blending. The versatile silky smooth powders are so rich it feels creamy. The fine weightless powders glide on easily without smudging or creasing. Apply dry for a more natural finish or apply wet for a more long lasting dramatic look. This retails for $35 and is an Allure exclusive. I have tried Doucce eye shadows and I like them. This is a very cool toned palette with grays and purple so I don’t know how much use I will get from it.
Deco Miami Nail Laquer in Feeling Feugo – Our formula is pretty pigmented, so if you tend to paint your nails with thick coats, one coat might just be enough. This is a very bright coral color. I will definitely use this.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Keraflex Flexible Hold Hairspray – The Micro-fine Mist provides a brushable hold that is soft to the touch but provides unbeatable hold & defies frizz. Versatile formula can be used while styling hair or to lock in a finished look. Utilizes a combination of polymers to create a flexible film that is brushable and provides natural movement. Kao Proprietary polymer provides ease of glide of heat tools to give a smooth finish to the style. I don’t use hairspray but I do like this line of products.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer – preps skin for foundation application, creating an improved, refined appearance: pores seem to be minimized, skin texture feels smoother, and skin tone is more even. It’s enriched with four nourishing oils—corn oil, apricot kernel oil, passiflora oil, and rice bran oil—to leave skin feeling incredibly soft without a greasy residue. Packed with blur technology, this universal primer provides a subtle, golden shimmer for ultimate luminosity. I am always game to try a new primer. I don’t think that I can use this in the summer because I struggle to stay matte. I’ll save it for winter.
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum – Reduce the appearance of wrinkles with this ultra-light gel serum. Power packed with an optimum dose of our proprietary blend of fruit stem cells infused into a Vitamin C, resveratrol-rich grapeseed formula to help boost and enhance skin tone and texture. I am also always happy to try new serums. This gets good reviews and looks like it has some awesome ingredients.
St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Face Sheet Mask – Drenching the skin with its unique blend of moisturizing and tanning actives to immediately refresh dehydrated skin for an instant dewy glow; whilst developing into your desired streak-free golden tan that last for days. Working with the face’s natural contours the mask’s fibres ensure that it doesn’t slip or slide, blending seamlessly for the perfect even glow with no tell-tale tan lines. This all-in-one convenient mask is easy to use and there is no need to wash off. Use for 5 minutes for a light tan, 10 minutes for a medium tan or 15 minutes for a dark tan. Once mask is removed lightly massage the excess serum around the eyes and hair line, blending into the neck and décolletage. I don’t know about this. I don’t tan so I think it would look weird.
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask – This award-winning beta-hydroxy mask works like a traditional peel to provide an instant solution for dull skin – without causing downtime or irritation. Delivers instant glow, helps minimize the appearance of pores, and improves texture for smooth, radiant skin. Formulated to purify and remove surface debris and dead skin for a refreshed, instantly revitalized appearance. Again, I love to get masks in my boxes. This sounds like a great one and I can hardly wait to try it.
All in all, I am very pleased with my first Allure box. The hairspray and tanning sheet mask are the only items that I am not excited about. I am super excited to try the Tata Harper mask.
