My Take on Sunscreen – Tommy Bahama Natural Vanilla SPF 30 Mineral Face Tinted Sunscreen Lotion By Coola

I started this series right after Starting Tretinoin. You must use a sunscreen every day if you are going to use Retin-A/tretinoin.  The problem is in finding a sunscreen that works with your other skincare products and makeup. You also want a sunscreen that doesn’t leave your skin looking white or greasy and shiny. Not to mention the need for great, full spectrum protection. You can learn about other sunscreens I have tried here,  here,  here,  herehere , and here. Yes, I have tried a few.

I bought this sunscreen in a T. J. Maxx Haul  for $4.  I have received samples of other Coola sunscreens in my various subscription boxes and have liked all the ones I have tried. This was a great price and I like tinted sunscreen. It helps reduce the white look you can get from sunscreens.

Brilliant natural protection from the sun is yours with this SPF 30 mineral face sunscreen. Providing 40 minutes of water resistance, it’s lightly tinted for natural coverage and has no greasy feel. Plus, it’s free from harsh chemicals and features a natural vanilla scent. COOLA’s “Perfect 10 Blend” soothes your skin while preventing inflammation caused by the sun.

I use sunscreen every single day. I wash my face, tone, apply my serum, then my moisturizer. Once all that has a few minutes to absorb I put on my sunscreen. It is important to use a decent amount to ensure adequate coverage. I then give it a few minutes to absorb before moving on to my makeup.

The main things I am looking for in a sunscreen is good protection, no greasy look or feel, and one that works well with my makeup. This sunscreen checks all the boxes. It is an SPF 30 and it leaves a semi-matte finish once it dries.

It has a light, mousse-like texture and a vanilla scent. It spreads easily on my face and is absorbed fairly quickly. It never looks greasy or shiny and it doesn’t feel heavy going on or once applied.

It works well with all the foundations I have used with it. There has been no pilling or moving. It dries down well so that foundation applies evenly over it. I like this sunscreen a lot. Luckily, I picked up 2 tubes so it will last a while. I really like Coola sunscreens.

Have you tried this sunscreen? Have you tried any other Coola sunscreens? What was your experience with them? What is your favorite sunscreen?

    1. I had never heard of it until I saw it at TJ Maxx. I had heard of Coola though and have liked all of the types of their sunscreen I have tried. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!
