Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that is $10 per month. It contains 5 sample, deluxe sample, or a rare full sized product in each bag. It tends to contain more makeup products and tools. You can see what I have received in past bags here, here, here, here, and here.
The theme for this month is Spellbound. This month, we paired up two of our favorite trends—crimson and lace—to make your October a little more mysterious. We hope that you’re batty for it.
Read on to see what was in my bag this month.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion – That 24/7 callout is no joke. This pencil really does last allll day. It glides on like butter. Meaning that crisp lines, graphic looks, even a cat eye is actually easy. (We’re not just saying that!) The inky black shade blends like a dream, so you can really smoke it out for that rockstar chic, morning-after-an-epic-party vibe. I don’t really use pencils as an eyeliner so I am not thrilled about this,
Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Oil Treatment – This lightweight hydrating treatment makes your hair shinier, silkier, and smoother without weighing it down. Growing pains? Not anymore. This slick stuff protects your hair from splitting and breaking, so it’ll grow longer, faster. It’s full of awesome vitamins like Biotin, which keeps your scalp and strands healthy and happy. This sounds interesting. I will try it and see what I think about it.
Hey Honey Trick AND Treat: ACTIVE PROPOLIS CREAM CONCEALER – Under eye circles? To the left. This lightweight concealer is insanely hydrating (which helps to soothe and soften them) and has buildable, believable coverage. It’s made with active propolis. Active what? That’s an ingredient honey bees collect from flowers while they’re buzzing around. It helps restore your skin’s structure and protects against damage. Aww thanks, bees! It’s also got Amino acids, vitamin E, and nourishing oils. Your face will thank you. I have gotten this before and I liked it.
Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Bronzed – This shimmery bronze shadow is super-buildable so you can go wayyy subtle, or lay it on thick for extra glam—however you want to roll. You can use it as an eyeliner, too. Just dip a wet angled brush in the pot and line your upper and/or lower lids with it. No animal-testing went into the making of this bronze beauty. It’s totally vegan and cruelty-free. How many bronze single eyeshadows does 1 person need? I get these a lot from Ispy and I rarely use them
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder – It’s so light and airy, you can’t feel it on and it gives you a soft, airbrushed look in seconds. It’s made with silk, collagen, and antioxidant-rich ingredients, which means it’ll make your skin super happy. We passed it around the office and the translucent shade works on so many skin tones. This was my sample choice this month and honestly the only item I am excited about. Unfortunately, I have read that this is the last month with sample choice.
This will be my last month with Ipsy. I get so much stuff that I don’t need or can’t use. I have samples stacked up that I may never use. I canceled Ipsy and subscribed to a mask subscription service. I will likely resubscribe at some point but I am taking a break for now.
Do you subscribe to Ipsy? What did you get this month? Were you happy with it? Do you have any subscription services that I might want to try?

I love your bag! I would’ve liked to try the Hey Honey Concealer!

I like it for my face but it did settle in the lines under my eyes.

It did start to settle after a bit, but I smoothed it out and set it with powder.

I’ve read comments from numerous bloggers about how this is the last month that ipsy allows you to pick one of your products, but they stopped letting me pick a product months ago. I don’t know why.

Yes, I heard the same thing. I was able to choose a sample for the past 3 or 4 months. I liked that option.
