If it hadn’t been for #OctoberMaskChallenge on Instagram I would not have had very many empties at all this month. I knew it had to slow down at some point. I mean how many products can 1 woman go through in a month’s time? Read on to see what I used up and if I liked it.
Konjac Sponges – Perfect for pampering all skin types, this natural cleansing sponge is made from 100% Konjac Root fibers. Asian Konjac Root has been used for centuries to gently exfoliate and detoxify skin while naturally balancing skin’s PH levels. When wet the sponges soften for gentle cleansing to deliver smooth, soft, brighter looking skin. I discovered these about the time I started tretinoin. They have since become a key part of my skincare routine. They are featured in A.M. Skincare Routine – Fall, Beauty and Skin Care Products for the Beach, Summer Skincare Routine, and 5 Faves April 2017. I don’t need to repurchase because I bought 12 last time I ordered them.
Nature’s Beauty OrgaPlus Rich Yet Light-Weight Mask Extra – The power of Rich Yet Lightweight Serum Extra in a 100% natural cotton mask. The concentrated sheet mask delivers rich, lightweight moisture for smooth, healthy skin. Gentle cotton ensures that the mask contours to your face, delivering all nutrients directly to the skin. This is an amazing mask! Watch for the full review.
Masks – I participated in #OctoberMaskChallenge on Instagram so I went through a few masks this month. I’m just going to list them to save space and time
- Llang on the Skin Mask Sheet Tea from United Kingdom
- Leaders Labotica Rice Skin So Soft Mask
- Nots Soothing Multi Gel Mask
- Premium Dr. Althea Water Glow Skin Renewal Hydrogel Mask
- Malie Snail Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask
- Back to Baby Mask Nourishing Special
- Repiel Timeless Line-Shot Bio Mask
- Leaders Coconut Gel Mask with Orange
- My Beauty Diary Royal Pearl
- The Creme Shop Collagen Face Mask
- Llang On the Skin Mask Sheet Seaweed from Jeju
L’Oreal Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Facial Oil Sunscreen – Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Facial Oil is a non-greasy facial oil treatment formulated with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen to both nourish and protect mature, dry skin. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly into skin to provide instant hydration, ultra-soft comfort, and restore skin’s healthy glow. I have a full size of this and I plan on using it on my chest. I might be able to use it on my face in January and February.
Assured 100% Pure Cotton Rounds – I use this to take off my eye makeup. This pack came from Dollar Tree and had 80 rounds for $1. I’m not picky about these so I look for the best bargain.
Manyo Factory Herb Green Cleansing Oil – Herbal hydrophilic Herb Green Cleansing Oil effectively cleanses skin of makeup and contamination, does not block pores, prevents blackheads and acne. Due to its texture, the oil penetrates deep into the pores, dissolves and pushes contamination outward, activates the deep cells of the skin, strengthening its protective layer, smoothing wrinkles and improving tone.Hydrophilic Herb Green Cleansing Oil does not leave a sticky or greasy film on skin, does not contain artificial ingredients. This was a sample that came in the now-defunct 3B Beauty Box. This is a good cleansing oil with a lovely herbal scent. I would possibly buy this.
Pixi Glow Tonic To-Go – Everything you love about the Glow Tonic, TO GO! Travel-friendly pads pre-soaked in Glow Tonic to tone, brighten, hydrate and gently exfoliate for clean renewed skin. I received 2 pads in Birchbox January 2017. I have only used the one so I haven’t formed much of an opinion yet. I do want to try this in the bottle at some point.
Derma E CoQ10 Super Repair Eye Creme – the CoQ10 Super Repair line seems to have been discontinued by Derma E. It was an ok eye cream. I am still searching for a good eye cream. If you have any suggestions please share in the comments.
Clairol Nice n’ Easy Root Touch-Up – Restores roots’ color in 10 minutes! Matches leading shades, even salon color. I have used all the root touch-up brands and like them all equally. This makes coloring my hair at home much easier.
NUDESTIX Concealer Pencil in Light 2 – Minds = blown. We can’t believe such a creamy formula comes in a stick. Glides on smoothly with no dry time. And perfectly portable for on-the-go touchups. A natural fit. Blends right into skin to cover blemishes, marks, spots and undereye circles. Lasts throughout the day and doesn’t settle into fine lines. A total conditioning treatment. Shea butter and vitamin E hydrate. This came in Ipsy Bag October 2016 and is one of the few stick concealers that I have ever liked. This was creamy and covered well.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – Created during a holy grail quest to find a truly buildable mascara, Better Than Sex provides extreme volume and a more dramatic look with each coat. One coat of the carbon black, collagen-fueled formula and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats and achieve the most intense black, oversized, multidimensional lashes possible! The Hourglass-Shaped brush unlocks the formula to create the perfect mascara that volumizes, lifts and coats both tops and bottoms of every little lash—with no lash left behind. I know that everybody loves this but I’m just not a fan. I don’t like the hourglass shape. Plus, I refuse to spend $23 for a mascara. There are too many great drugstore mascaras for less than $10.
CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara – Get a blast of bold, volumizing mascaras! LashBlast’s patented volume-boosting hypoallergenic mascara formula and patent-pending brush are designed to max out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big-lash look. Speaking of drugstore mascaras I like better than Better Than Sex. This is a really good drugstore mascara. It lasts all day with no clumping or flaking.
elf Makeup Remover Pen – quickly remove makeup smudges, smears, and mistakes without taking off the rest of your makeup. The gentle and non-greasy formula erases even long wearing and waterproof makeup for flawless touchups, perfect for on-the-go. Infused with Vitamin E, Cucumber, and Chamomile to moisturize and condition skin. This is a holy grail product for me. I use it every day to clean up mascara. It removes it instantly. You can apply right over top because it doesn’t leave a greasy or tacky residue. It helps my eye makeup look flawless. For $3 this is the best bargain ever! I keep a supply of these on hand so I never run out.
BATH AND BODY
Nivea Extended Moisture Body Lotion – A luxurious, non-greasy lotion. Extended Moisture provides up to 48 hours of relief for dry, tight skin. Infused with Pro-Vitamin B5, Extended Moisture lotion gives ultra long-lasting, skin nourishing moisture. These are samples that I started during #SampleSeptember on Instagram. I really like this lotion a lot. If I didn’t have enough lotion to last a lifetime I would buy this.
Dial NutriSkin Replenishing Body Wash in White Peach and Shea Butter – Body wash with 7 BioNutrients is infused with our unique blend of vitamins, minerals, and nutrient-rich ingredients. It replenishes your skin by providing essential moisture and nutrients to help keep your skin looking and feeling its healthy, protected, beautiful best. I loved this body wash. Tne scent was heavenly and smelled just like a fresh, ripe peach. The lather was rich and creamy. I would definitely repurchase.
Bath and Body Works Pleasures Rich Citrus Cream Body Lotion – Zesty lime. Sweet Cream. Warm Vanilla. And just a pinch of sugar. This tempting fragrance blend is both rich and refreshing. I love this scent and I am sad that it is long discontinued. It has such a fresh scent.
Moisturizing Hand Cream Hibiscus Fragrance – this was part of a set of mini hand creams I picked up at Christmas. I used them in gift bags for my coworkers. They are nice little hand creams and perfect for your purse or desk drawer.
I was very pleased that I finished a body wash and lotion from my stash. If I only stopped buying more I might be whittling it down some! This was still one of my smaller empties if not the smallest.
What did you finish up this month? Any of the items in my can? Do you hoard any products the way I do bath and body products?
