Vitamasque Face Food Kiwi Fruit Yoghurt Mask

I received this mask and a strawberry one in Ipsy August 2017. I picked this as my sample choice for August because I love trying new masks! This sample packet had enough for 2 uses.

The Vitamasques Kiwi Yoghurt Mask contains a unique blend of Yoghurt Extract as well as Kiwi Extract to provide smoothness and radiance to your skin. The Kiwi Extract also enhances and revitalizes your tired skin.

Directions of Use:
1) Wash and cleanse your face in preparation of applying your mask
2) Open the packaging and apply the mask evenly over the face, avoiding eyes and lips
3) After 20 minutes, remove the mask and rinse with water

Ingredients:

aqua (water), glycerin, mineral oil, methylpropanediol, glyceryl stearate, cetyl ethylhexanoate, stearic acid, trehalose, actinidia chinensis (kiwi) fruit extract, cetearyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, yogurt powder, natto gum, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, milk protein extract, peg-100 stearate, dimethicone, carbomer, triethanolamine, hydroxyethylcellulose, allantoin, benzophenone-5, mannitol, cellulose, chromium hydroxide green (ci 77289), tocopheryl acetate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, disodium edta, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin, caprylyl glycol, ethylhexylglycerin, tropolone, yellow 5 (ci 19140), blue 1 (ci 42090), parfum (fragrance)

I did wash my face but I did not use the toner before this mask. I prefer to use a toner after masks that are not sheet masks. This is to make sure that I don’t leave any residue on my face after rinsing the mask off.

This mask smells very fruity but only a little bit like kiwi. It smelled more like apples to me. The scent lightly lingered while the mask was on. This was a thick mask that had a consistency very much like yogurt.  Nothing like a clay mask.

There was no burning or stinging when I applied it. It felt almost like I was applying lotion to my face. It felt heavy and filmy at first but that didn’t last. I left it on 20 minutes per the directions for use. It did not dry in that time. It just got firmer or maybe stiffer. It is hard to describe what it did.  It actually did sting a little bit when I was washing it off.

To be honest I can’t say that I saw much improvement after using the mask. My face felt a bit softer but I didn’t really see any “radiance.” It is an ok mask but I don’t see purchasing a full size. It didn’t do enough to use it more. I will finish out the packet and try the strawberry one but that will be it.

It is too bad because I really wanted to love this mask! It has fruit and yogurt in it. Both of those are good for the skin. I was expecting my face to look and feel better after using this mask. Maybe I will like the strawberry one better. Or maybe there is a good yogurt mask out there somewhere.

Have you tried this mask? Was your experience better than mine? Do you have any mask recommendations for me? I love all kinds of masks.

  1. I had these masks before, and I actually really liked them. I loved the yogurt texture, and they felt incredibly cooling on my face. Plus, I liked the smell, and my face felt moisturized afterwards. Of course everyone’s skin is different.
