Allure is a monthly beauty subscription. It costs $15 a month and will have 5 sample or deluxe samples each month. This is a new subscription box for me and I don’t know what I think of it yet. This is just my 3rd box. You can see what I have gotten in previous boxes here, here, here, here, and here. Read on to see what I got this month.
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Luminous Lip Crayon in Malibu – A unique blend of plant-derived Phyto-Pigments with replenishing emollients to keep lips soft with a smooth, creamy texture and a lightweight feel. Combining the convenience of a pencil with the application of a lipstick in a jumbo-sized crayon design, these pigment-rich sticks provide beautiful, subtle shine and comfortable wear. Contains the Juice Beauty exclusive Moisture Plant Blend (glycerin, betaine and phospholipids) to increase skin hydration and the Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments exclusive blend of rose, eggplant, moringa and eclipta daisy. This is not a good color for me. The formula is ok but I will pass this on.
Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum – A light and luxurious moisturizing serum the doubles as an under-makeup primer. Replenishes and protects to improve tone for elegantly glowing skin. Rich moisturizers and nutrients such as honey, silk amino acids, sea buckthorn oil, and Vitamin E provide intense moisture for radiantly smooth skin. Wear it by itself or under your day cream. Perfect as a makeup primer. I am looking forward to trying this. I love a good serum and I have tried and liked other Hey Honey products.
MODA Unicorn Crease Brush – Perfect for precision blending in the crease of the eye. This is a bit bigger than I like in a crease brush. It is gorgeous and good quality so I am sure I will find some use for it.
Too Cool for School Egg Mellow Cream – This firming moisturizer works as a serum, priming moisturizer, eye cream, neck cream, and sleeping mask in one. It’s highly enriched with egg yolk extract, albumen (egg white) extract, and inka omega oil to provide intensive nourishment to skin. It is also infused with collagen fiber to support the appearance of more elastic skin. I am very excited to try this. It is a good sized tube that I will get a lot of use from.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask – this Deep Conditioning Mask works in minutes to restore essential hydration and natural vibrancy to dry, brittle, over-processed, and otherwise lackluster hair. Formulated with Briogeo’s unique NOVA Complex, this mask delivers an optimal blend of transformative nutrients from B-vitamins, rosehip and argan oils, algae, and biotin to replenish damaged hair to a shiny, healthy-looking, and lustrous state. I use a hair mask once every week or 2 so I will use. I have tried other Briogeo hair products and it is a good brand.
Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator – PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator reduces the look of enlarged pores and mattifies shine. Minimize pores while smoothing and evening skin’s texture with this dual-action formula. This exfoliator instantly* works to deeply cleanse pores while it strengthens and tightens the look of pores by removing congestion- and clogging-causing impurities. Your skin will look and feel smoother, more even, and shine-free. This is for normal to oily skin so it won’t work in the winter for me. I may try it in the spring or I may pass it on to my niece.
Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Eye Concentrate – We have perfected with decades of expertise to create an eye concentrate formula that helps the eye area look tight, smooth & delicately hydrated. Truffle Therapy Eye concentrate works best with other SKIN&CO products to help minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and reveal toned radiant healthy-looking skin. I use eye cream day and night but I’m not totally sold on the need for it. I don’t buy it I just use the samples that come in my boxes.
YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer – preps skin for foundation application, creating an improved, refined appearance: pores seem to be minimized, skin texture feels smoother, and skin tone is more even. It’s enriched with four nourishing oils—corn oil, apricot kernel oil, passiflora oil, and rice bran oil—to leave skin feeling incredibly soft without a greasy residue. Packed with blur technology, this universal primer provides a subtle, golden shimmer for ultimate luminosity. I will definitely be trying this out for festive holiday looks.
Overall, I am pleased with this box and it may be my favorite of the month. I love skin care and I get to try a new moisturizer and a new serum. The primer is coming at the perfect time. I will use the Dr. Brandt Poredermabrasion and the eye cream. The lip product is the only loser in the box. I give this box a 4.5/5 this month.
