Makeup and Skin Care for Mature Skin

Concord Mills is a really nice outlet mall in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is about 2.5 hours from where I live. We usually go as a day trio but sometimes we spend the night. This time was a day trip to get some Christmas shopping done. I also made purchases for me at The Cosmetic Company Outlet, Forever 21, and TJ Maxx.

The Cosmetic Company Outlet is my favorite store there. They sell Clinique, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Origins, Smashbox, and Mac at bargain prices.  On the day I was there they were having a flash Extra 40% sale. How lucky was that?

The main thing I wanted to purchase was Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator. Rich, oil-free cream-gel plumps skin with 24-hour hydration. Instantly rehydrates. Helps repair skin’s moisture barrier over time. I have heard good things about this and my winter skin needs all the help it can get. This is for dry skin.

I have loved every Clinique foundation I have tried. I have been wanting to try Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer and getting it for around $12 made it irresistible. A foundation-and-concealer in one for a natural, beyond perfected look that lasts all day. Lightweight, moisturizing makeup covers thoroughly without clogging pores. Skin breathes comfortably, color stays true, even through sweat and humidity.  I didn’t realize that it was moisturizing. I need to try it soon since my skin is so dry right now.

Then it was on to Forever 21 who had a cute little collection of kbeauty sheet masks. I just can’t pass up a sheet mask in cute packaging or with killer ingredients. I picked up 2 to add to my other purchases.

I finished up my shopping at TJ Maxx. I always find things I like at bargain prices at TJ Maxx. This trip was no exception. If you follow my blog you know I love scented bath and body products. I found a couple of things to add to my collection.

The Body Shop Frosted Plum Body Butter is a limited edition holiday scent. Enriched with juicy winter plum extract from Turkey and delicate florals, this indulgent Body Butter leaves your skin feeling soft, moisturized and smelling sweet for the festive season. Delicately scented with our fruitiest festive fragrance. Scented with juicy ripe plum, and hints of pink peony and magnolia. 

I also picked up The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter. This one is actually a gift for my son. He has dry skin and this is a light scent that will work for a male.

My final purchase was Welcos Jeju Natural Canola Honey Mask. A deeply hydrating facial sheet mask that is formulated with a blend of Jeju Canola Honey and a unique Jeju Botanical complex (Camellia Japonica Extract and Cactus Stem Extract) that is designed to deliver smoothing nourishment for noticeable radiance and elasticity. I love honey in skincare and the packaging is just too cute. I never leave TJ Maxx without a mask.

I was pleased with my beauty purchases. I was especially pleased with the 40% off flash sale at The Cosmetic Company Outlet. I got the foundation AND moisturizer for less than $45. That was an amazing bargain! I plan on going back after Christmas to see what other bargains I can find.
