Each month I share my top 5 favorite products for that month. These are not necessarily new items, just products I have been using a lot in that month. Some products made the list in more than 1 month. I have gone through my monthly 5 Faves and picked my 5 Faves for the entire year. It was harder than I thought it would be! Let’s look at what I considered the best of my Faves in 2017.
Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 – We’re always skeptical when products promise the sun and the moon, but Dr. Jart+’s Premium Beauty Balm truly delivers. A four-in-one primer, moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum, the formula helps you cut down on the grooming clutter. This tinted balm uses adenosine to improve skin’s elasticity and arbutin to brighten and even out skin tone. An antioxidant bio-peptide complex provides anti-aging properties and promotes collagen production, while titanium dioxide and zinc oxide add broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. This came in my Birchbox June 2017 and I included it in Beauty and Skin Care Products for the Beach. This is a wonderful BB cream and I used it a lot over the summer. It provides medium coverage and leaves a lovely glow. I usually dislike products that leave a glowy finish because for years I battled oily shine and love a matte look. This BB cream makes my skin look amazing. A full-size tube is around $38 and I will probably buy one at some point. It is hands down the best BB cream I have ever used. It was one of my 5 Faves September 2017.
MODA Pro Crease Brush by Royal & Langnickel – This brush has a nice rubber handle and is fluffy. It is a super nice brush and is a perfect crease brush. I use it almost daily. It was part of a 3 piece set that came in Boxycharm August 2017. It was 1 of my 5 Faves November 2017. I love this brush and am still using it daily. It is just the perfect crease brush.
e.l.f. Makeup Remover Pen – Mascara smears? Uneven eyeliner? Quickly remove or correct small makeup smudges, smears and mistakes without having to take off the rest of your makeup! The gentle and non-greasy formula erases even long wearing and waterproof makeup for flawless touch ups, perfect for throwing in your purse or gym bag when you’re on-the-go! Infused with Vitamin E, Cucumber and Chamomile to moisturize and condition skin. This is actually a favorite every single day! It is the rare day I don’t need to use it to clean up mascara. This is one of those “YouTube made me buy it” products.I used it all the time when I was learning to use liquid eyeliner. I made sure to pick up a couple of spares in my last e.l.f. Haul because I can’t imagine running out. All you have to do is dab this on mistakes and it literally erases them. If you haven’t tried it, you should. Especially considering that it only costs $3. This beloved product was a 5 Faves in February.
Dove Detox and Purify Dry Shampoo – Refresh and revive oily hair between washes with Detox & Purify dry shampoo, for beautifully clean results every time. My hair is normal but it gets sweaty in the summer. I like this formula to make it look and smell fresh. Dove is my favorite dry shampoo all around. I got this in a Drugstore Haul and you can get it for under $5. I like it better than anything else I have tried. This was a 5 Faves in June.
Bare Minerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo – This silky and ultra-fine combination of setting powder and finishing powder instantly vanishes on all skin tones. Enjoy an even, long lasting, natural looking, luminous complexion. This has a glow powder and a matte powder and I got in Boxycharm July 2017. I used the matte powder this summer and it works really well. Since fall I have been using the glow powder and I love it. It sets my makeup and leaves a lovely glow. It was wonderful for the holiday season and I included it in 5 Faves December 2017.
So, these 5 were my favorites of my 5 Faves in 2017. Have you tried any of these products? Do you like them as much as I do? The Dr. Jart BB Cream is cropped from an old photo because I finished my sample and threw the empty tube away.
