After Christmas Outlet Haul

I love outlet mall shopping and Concord Mills is one of my favorite places. It has The Cosmetic Company Outlet and it is my favorite beauty products store. They have a really nice TJ Maxx too. Any bargain beauty hunter is well acquainted with TJ Maxx! I went to Concord Mills before Christmas and you can read all about that trip here.

My first stop was The Cosmetic Company Outlet. They carry Clinique, Estee Lauder, Mac, Origins, Smashbox, Bobbi Brown and Bumble & Bumble products at deep discounts. You can see why it is my favorite beauty outlet here and here. I love Clinique and I always find great bargains. This time I spent $95 and grabbed some great deals due to a Flash 40% off sale for the whole store. That was on top of the already reduced outlet prices.

First up is Glamglow YoithMud Tinglexfoliate.  Glamglow masks enjoy a cult status and are stupid expensive. A 1.7 oz jar is $69.00 at Sephora. I purchased mine for $33. It is still way too expensive but I wanted the chance to try more than a sample size. The YOUTHMUD™ Tinglexfoliate Treatment moisturizes, exfoliates, and lifts away impurities without disturbing skin’s essential oils. Antiaging ingredients brighten and smooth while delivering a tighter, more youthful appearance with visibly minimized pores. Keep an eye out for a review on it.

I picked up Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil because I have thought that they look like a good brand. I got a sample of the Origins Modern Friction in a Birchbox and it was ok. I do like their Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. I bought this cleansing oil because I do a double cleanse at night. This lightweight formula with non-comedogenic Olive, Sunflower, Sesame and Safflower Oils removes dirt, makeup and pollutants with high efficiency. Kukui Nut and Macadamia help protect natural moisture. Vitamin E helps reduce the effects of environmental irritants. Skin breathes freely. And the energizing aroma of Grapefruit, Orange and Lemon renews your spirits. It sounds like it will work better for me in the spring and summer. I am looking forward to trying this. It retails for $28 and I got mine for $13.50. It looks like it will last a long time. It is a 6.7 oz. bottle.

Smashbox Matte Exposure Palette was an impulse buy. I DO NOT need any more eye palettes!! But it is all matte and there are some nice basic shades in there. 12 x 0.035 oz/ 0.99 g Matte wet/dry eyeshadow in Spice (burnt orange), Blackberry (deep burgundy), Desert (medium/neutral brown), Sumatra (deep brown), Tonal (peach nude), Suede (soft red brown), Buff (pink nude), Grounded (medium cool brown), Drizzle (muted purple), Black Plum (deep purple), Truffle (light grey), Blackout (black)
– 2 x 0.07 oz/ 1.98 g Matte base eyeshadow shades in Wheat (soft warm brown), Vanilla (soft light beige)
. This looks perfect for daily use. Smashbox is not the creamiest shadow and there is kickback and fallout. Even with all that they blend nicely and hold up throughout a long day. This palette is $49.50 at Sephora and mine was $20.70. Less than half the price. See, I HAD to buy it.

And we come to the reason that I especially love The Cosmetic Company Store. My beloved Clinique makeup and skincare. My love for Clinique blushes is no secret and they are featured in 2016 Favorites and 2017 Beauty Favorites. I went to the store specifically planning on getting a new Clinique blush. Clinique Cheek Pop in Fig was my choice.

These are not only great blushes but the flower shape is too cute. Vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless. In a silky smooth, stay-true formula with shades for every skin tone. That just-pinched look, simply effortless. Fig is described as a red/coral shade. It looks very dark but Clinique blushes are not pigmented. You have to build them to the depth you want. I think that is why they look so natural. These are $23 each but I paid $9.75 for mine. That’s right, drugstore price for the best blush out there.

Clinique foundations are great as well and are included in my 2017 Favorites post. I buy most of my foundation at the outlet so I had to grab one during a 40% off sale! Even Better Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 is Clinique’s best-selling foundation. Wear oil-free, dermatologist-developed Even Better Makeup SPF 15 and something amazing happens: Without any makeup, see improved clarity, a more even skin tone, visibly diminished age spots. For all ethnicities. In just 4 to 6 weeks. Broad spectrum SPF helps protect against future darkening. This is a long time favorite of mine and is the first Clinique foundation I ever used. I usually pay around $20 for this at the outlet – -retail is $28 – but with the sale, it was only $10.85. Again drugstore pricing for a higher end foundation that is amazing!

I think I got a lot for $95. All my purchases are from high-end, quality brands. You find them at the best cosmetics counter. The Glamglow alone would have been $70 at Sephora. If you have the opportunity I urge you to check out The Cosmetics Company Outlet. You will thank me.

My other purchases at the mall were at TJ Maxx. As I said it is a mecca for bargain beauty hunters. You never know what you will find at TJ Maxx but you know you will find something and it will be great yet cheap.

Body Prescriptions Brightening Pads with Glycolic Acid was marked down to $2 for 60 pads because they are expiring soon. I like to incorporate Glycolic Acid into my routine so I couldn’t pass these up.

Masks are the main reason I haunt TJ Maxx so of course, I picked up Welcos Jeju Natural Green Tea Mask. A box of 10 sheet masks was $5.99. I got a box of the Jeju Canola Honey last time and really liked them. A deeply hydrating facial sheet mask that is formulated with a blend of Jeju Green Tea and a unique Jeju Botanical complex (Camellia Japonica Extract and Cactus Stem Extract) that is designed to cleanse and moisturize to deliver softer and clearer skin. Hydrating is what I look for in a sheet mask. I’m certain there will be a review of these at some point.

I was happy with my purchases. I got a lot for just over $100. I will be good now until our next trip in the spring. I doubt I will get lucky enough to hit another sale like that at The Cosmetics Company Outlet again.
