Boxycharm 2018

Even though I get several subscription boxes I always am most excited about getting my Boxycharm. It is the most expensive subscription I get at $21 a month but it is almost always well worth it. You can see what I have received in past boxes here, here, herehere, here, and here. Read on to see what I got in this month’s box.

CoverFX Shimmer Veil – These multi-use, shimmering creme colors are crease-proof enough for the boldest of eye looks and formulated with a weightless finish for a shimmering effect anywhere on the face. Suitable for all skin types. This is $28 retail. It does look pretty. It isn’t something I would have bought myself but I’ll try it. I’m a matte powder shadow kind of girl.

Crown Brush Pro Brush Trio – Use this 3pc Pro Brush Trio to contour your face to perfection! The small brush can be used to conceal imperfections and highlight underneath the eyes. The medium sized brush can be used to sculpt the cheekbones and perimeter of the face. Finally, the large powder brush can be used to set everything in place. This set has a value of $29.99. I have tried the medium brush and it is a good contour brush.

Naked Cosmetics Holographic Highlighter Palette – With six stunning holographic shades, this highlighting palette is essential for any makeup-enthusiast. Each iridescent shade is perfect for highlighting and layering to transform any look into something enchanting! This palette has a retail value of $39.99. I tried to swatch these but they seemed stiff and not very pigmented.

Seraphine Botanicals Sugar + Lemon – Moisturizing Lip Buffer – A blend of soft sugar crystals within a rich, nourishing salve base that gently exfoliates and buffs lips, leaving behind smoother skin with a touch of refreshing Lemon Zest scent. Made with Avocado, Apricot and Jojoba oils as well as Shea & Cocoa Butter to help rejuvenate & hydrate dry lips. This is another full-size product and it sells for $24. It is a generous sized tube and I am very happy to get this. This is my favorite sample from this box.

Vintage by Jessika Liebskind Eyeliner Pencil – Jessica’s richly pigmented smokey eye pencil delivers intense jet-black definition! Creating pencil-point precision or smudgy, saturated color, the creamy-soft formula glides on lids without tugging or pulling. This is a $21 eyeliner pencil. I am not a big fan of pencil liners. They are just never creamy enough or smudge proof enough for me.

Overall, I am satisfied with my box this month. The lip scrub is the best product and I know at least 1 of the brushes will fit into my collection. I will use the highlighter palette and the Cover FX at least a few times. The pencil is not something I will use at all. I give this box a 3.5/5.

Do you get Boxycharm? What did you think of this month’s box? Have you tried any of these products? Do you like them? What beauty subscriptions do you have? What do you recommend?
